Are you afraid to be visible online? This fear is FAR more common than you might think it is, and I have some personal experience with it, too. Today, I’m going to be sharing what I’ve learned on my journey, so that you can save yourself from struggling any longer.

  • Are you worried that the course you’re building needs a little more tweaking? And a little more here? And some more there?
  • Think that you’re just not good enough on camera yet to go live?
  • Concerned that your website just doesn’t look professional and sleek enough to be seen?

When is “good enough”… FINALLY GOOD ENOUGH?

If you’re afraid to be visible online… You could have a case of comparison-itis.

As you’ve been on this journey, I’m sure you’ve had more than a few cases of comparison-itis. Comparing yourself to others in your field is easy when the internet makes them so easy to find!

Her website is so much prettier than mine… Wow, she posts CONSTANTLY! She must be able to afford a lot of help. Her webinar is SO much more professional looking! I know I would stutter a heck of a lot more on mine.

These thoughts then turn to fears and self-doubt. Who am I to be teaching people? Who would buy from ME when she’s over there looking SO GREAT??

If this is you, I totally understand where you are!! Not only was this something I experienced in my business, but it was something I grew up with. These tired old stories we get from childhood can leave a lasting impression on us… and drag us down in our businesses, too.

I was raised in a low-income family. Who would dare want to be friends with the girl who had ratty hair and dirty old clothes? What if people can’t see past that?

So I shut down. Clammed up. I made sure to be a nice person anyway, but I didn’t bother showing off my vibrant personality and my LOVE for people that would FAR outweigh any negatives they saw on the outside!

That’s what you could be doing with your business, too! As long as a part of you is judging the way the PACKAGING looks, you’re holding yourself back from giving away the GOODS!!

Wondering how to get visible online despite your fear? Try this…

She’s looking for an expert, not a perfectionist… All you have to do is CONSISTENTLY show her that you understand her problem, and that you know how to fix it. Staying true to your unique voice will do all the rest in attracting the right clients to you.

Getting started is more important than showing up perfectly.

Here’s how you can overcome your comparison-itis RIGHT NOW. Ask yourself THIS about what you’re putting out there…

  • Can this help her?
  • Can this be a building block for her trust in me?
  • Perfectly or otherwise… Am I showing up as an AUTHORITY and aligning myself as an EXPERT?

If the answer to all of those questions is YES… You have nothing to worry about. Get it out there. Change lives!

Getting it done and helping her fix her problem is more important than giving it to her specially wrapped in a beautiful website and fancy graphics.

Being someone she can learn from is more important than being someone she is totally WOWed by.

She has a problem NOW – she’s not going to wait until you’re READY!!

‘Good enough’ is good enough when it can affect someone. When it can give value. When you can be sure that you have given love today! NOT when it’s pristine and perfect!!

Go get it DONE, gorgeous! Stop letting perfection stall you!

  1. Confidence comes from success…But confidence also combines another quality because you can be successful, yet lack confidence. It requires a mental attitude shift to an expectation of success. And this alone can bring about more success, reinforcing the confidence. It spirals from there. Great Blog!
